Peek‘n Peak Resort and Spa in Findley Lake, N.Y., says it’s the only ski area in the eastern United States that is entirely open for business.
The resort, purchased in 2011 by Erie-based Scott Enterprises, reports that all 27 of its ski slopes are open and that skiers and snow boarders are using every trail.
Nick Scott Jr., vice president of Scott Enterprises, is urging skiers to “take advantage of being close to the only ski resort in the eastern U.S. that is fully open.”
Carrie Longstreet, a spokeswoman for the resort, said the peak’s claim is based on a Snocountry.com, a website that reports ski conditions.
