Best Bars in Erie, PA (according to me)
I’ve been about everywhere at this point and here are my favorite (not necessarily the best) joints to hang out, grab some grub, and have a few beers.
- U Pick 6 Tap House - great selection of beer, knowledgeable staff, laid back atmosphere, and great food.
- 1201 Kitchen - Trendy atmosphere, fresh sushi, and expensive (but delicious) cocktails.
- Molly Brannigans - because everybody needs to have their favorite faux Irish pub.
- The Brewerie at Union Station - just like their slogan says: “Real Food. Real Beer. Real Historic Atmosphere.” Be sure to try the Hopness Monster.
- One Way Inn - Erie’s go-to Peach Street dive bar.
- Rum Runners - A summertime bar only, there is something about eating their trashy deep fried food, sipping on their crummy cocktails, listening to the band of the night, and watching the sunset across the beautiful bay.
- Sandbar Draft House - Best in the summer, but great any time of the year if you love your beer on tap.
- Plymouth Tavern - In reality, it’s a pretty terrible bar. Only recently has their draft beer selection been better, which is a perk, but there isn’t much else appealing about it (for instance, their wings - they are low quality, but I still eat them a couple of times a month). For whatever reason, we always go back. There must be a reason.
People of Erie - where are your favorite places to go for a drink?
